1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Joe Haulman, an individual doing business as Sandline Tulsa ("Sandline," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any event-specific rules shown before you register or participate.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You may not create an account for another person without permission or use Sandline if we previously removed you for unsafe, abusive, or fraudulent conduct.
2. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information, keep your password private, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless you notify us that it was compromised. Contact hello@sandlinetulsa.com if you believe someone accessed your account without permission.
One person should maintain one registered account. Guest player records are temporary statistical identities, not user accounts, and may be merged into a verified member account when ownership is confirmed.
3. The Sandline service and club records
Sandline provides tools for volleyball discovery, RSVPs, pickup organization, league and tournament administration, communication, schedules, payments, results, statistics, rankings, rewards, photos, and community-hosted sessions. Features may change as the club grows.
Scores, attendance, standings, ratings, awards, and historical records may contain mistakes. Sandline may review, correct, merge, remove, or restore records to preserve an accurate club history. Private balancing ratings are internal tools and are not guaranteed to be disclosed. No statistic, ranking, generated team, or recommendation guarantees a competitive outcome or a particular playing experience.
4. Events, venues, and community hosts
Volleyball is a physical activity. Your participation is also governed by the separate Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver, which is incorporated into this agreement by reference and includes an assumption of risk and release of ordinary-negligence claims.
Some pickups may be organized by community members rather than directly supervised by Sandline. A host's access to Sandline tools, or Sandline's later approval of submitted game records, does not make that host an employee or agent of Sandline and does not mean Sandline supervised or endorsed every decision made at the session.
Venues may be owned or controlled by third parties and may impose separate rules. Event details may change because of weather, court access, safety, turnout, or other circumstances. You are responsible for deciding whether conditions are safe for your participation and for following organizer and venue directions.
5. Community conduct
You agree to compete safely, honestly, and respectfully. You may not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, stalk, exploit, or endanger another person; manipulate scores, attendance, ratings, payments, polls, or rewards; post unlawful, deceptive, invasive, or abusive material; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the service; or use Sandline for unauthorized commercial solicitation.
Sandline may moderate content, correct records, restrict event participation, suspend accounts, or remove users when reasonably necessary to protect players, the service, or the integrity of competition. Serious or repeated conduct issues may result in removal without a refund where permitted by law and the applicable event policy.
6. Content, photos, and feedback
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Sandline a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and share that content as needed to operate, improve, and promote Sandline. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active service, except for content already shared in club history, event records, backups, or promotional materials created before deletion.
Only upload content you have the right to share. Sandline may remove content that violates these Terms or another person's rights. Event photography and recordings are also addressed in the Participant Waiver. If you prefer not to appear in promotional media, notify the organizer in writing before participating so reasonable efforts can be made to honor the request.
If you send an idea or product suggestion, you allow Sandline to use it without restriction or compensation.
7. Fees, payments, cancellations, and third parties
Event pages will identify applicable fees, payment methods, deadlines, and material refund rules. Unless an event states otherwise, registration is not complete until required payment and roster steps are satisfied. Sandline may cancel, postpone, shorten, or relocate an event for weather, safety, venue access, participation levels, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Any refund or credit will follow the event-specific policy presented at registration.
Card payments, merchandise, maps, messaging, email, hosting, and other functions may be provided by third parties such as Stripe, Fourthwall, Google, Supabase, Vercel, or Resend. Their terms and privacy practices govern your direct use of their services. Sandline is not responsible for third-party products, fulfillment, outages, or content beyond what applicable law requires.
8. Suns and promotions
Suns are promotional loyalty points, not money, property, stored value, or a promise of future payment. They have no cash value, are not transferable unless Sandline expressly allows it, and may expire or be changed, suspended, reversed, or discontinued. Sandline may correct balances affected by error, duplication, abuse, cancelled activity, refunds, or fraud. Available rewards, prices, eligibility rules, and redemption limits may change.
9. Sandline property
The Sandline name, logos, visual system, software, page designs, original text, and other materials supplied by Sandline are owned by Sandline or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, nontransferable right to use the service for its intended community purpose. They do not give you permission to copy the brand, resell access, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or create a confusingly similar service or identity.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the online service is provided "as is" and "as available." Sandline does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free records, a particular turnout, compatible teammates, venue availability, or that every message, link, host submission, or third-party service is accurate or safe. We may temporarily limit features for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Physical-activity risks, releases, and limitations are addressed specifically in the Participant Waiver.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sandline will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the online service or these Terms. For claims not governed by the Participant Waiver, Sandline's aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees you paid directly to Sandline during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, and they do not expand or replace the releases and assumptions of risk in the Participant Waiver.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sandline and its organizers, volunteers, agents, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, your content, your material breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This section does not require you to indemnify a released party for a claim to the extent caused by that party's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Suspension, termination, and survival
You may stop using Sandline at any time and may request account deletion subject to lawful and legitimate recordkeeping needs. Sandline may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, security, nonpayment, legal compliance, or a violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive— including ownership, releases, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and preserved club records—remain effective after account closure.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Sandline changes. The version and effective date identify the controlling text. If a change materially affects member rights or obligations, we may provide notice in the app or require a new acceptance. Continued use after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
15. Oklahoma law and general terms
Oklahoma law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes arising from these Terms will lie in the state or federal courts located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally by written notice, unless emergency or injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Participant Waiver, and applicable event-specific rules form the entire agreement concerning their subject matter.
